In short - no - The 8-Week Body Project is not a diet with overwhelming rules or cumbersome meal plans (see the question below about meal plans).
While we spend a lot of time teaching mindful eating and creating the most effective way to eat for you, The 8-Week Body Project is a complete lifestyle program...which means we incorporate ALL 5 of the most important aspects of lasting results and healthy living, which requires much more than a short-term, strict diet:
*All of these factors must be addressed in your life…if you’re lacking in one area, you run the risk of seeing little to no results or worse, seeing results but then falling off-track yet again.
While we can pretty much guarantee that if you remain committed to all the components of The 8-Week Body Project (consistent with your fitness plan, mindful eating, attending the education sessions, engaging with your coach, and keeping an open mind)...you will experience physical results including fat loss ranging from 5-12 pounds (on average), increasing precious muscle, and losing inches.
But the results that women who complete The 8-Week Body Project find most valuable are those beyond the scale...more energy and better sleep, mental clarity and focus, increased resilience personally and professionally, greater patience and lower stress levels, increased confidence and acceptance of their body, and an overall sense of self-worth and positive outlook. We've learned after working with thousands of busy women that meal plans simply never work long-term.
What most women really need are new, fresh ideas of what to eat (vs. lists of what not to eat), along with simple strategies on planning on prepping foods they can easily integrate in their life (that are family-friendly, too!).
We've found overwhelming success by providing choices for several new, delicious recipes throughout the program and most importantly, giving expert guidance to create an "everyday eating" plan that actually works for each individual woman's needs.
